Catherine is a partner in a newly merged firm of Legal Practitioners, Wickwar & Chitiyo. The firm is engaged in a business practice with a
primary emphasis on commercial and property-related transactions, opinions,
negotiations, contracts such as joint ventures, mergers, management
buy-outs, conveyance, and the like.

Prior to commencing private practice in 1990, Cathrine was a Law Officer (Public Prosecutor) in the Attorney General's Office. Cathrine has a BL (Hons) and an LLB (Zim). She is a member of the Harare Lawyers Association, Zimbabwe Women's Lawyers Association, and sits on the boards of 2 insurance companies.
